Research

My PhD research at the University of St Andrews is exploring the ways that the process of decolonisation changed the ways that Nigerian art was received on the world stage, with a particular focus on the career of Frank Willett, the first professional director of the Hunterian Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow, whose archives are housed at the University of Glasgow. It is funded through the Arts and Humanities Research Council's Doctoral Training Partnership, administered by the Scottish Graduate School of Arts and Humanities.
