About
I'm a writer and editor living in Scotland, focusing on art and culture. Now freelance, I've written features, essays, interviews with contemporary artists, reviews and opinion pieces for Apollo, The Telegraph, Prospect, ArtReview, Financial Times, Artnet News, Literary Review, Outland, Frieze and others. You can find my writing here.
My PhD at the University of St Andrews explores the changing reception of Nigerian art in Western museums after Nigerian independence from the British empire in 1960. See here for more info.

I have created the official website for two major post-war artists – Peter de Francia (1921–2012) and Dennis Creffield (1931–2018), each realised in close collaboration with their estates. My website creation service offers artists or their estates an engaging, informative and visually rich overview of their work, drawing on a wide range of contacts in the world of art and museums; for more details and to get a quote, click here.

I was formerly assistant editor of Apollo, where I commissioned and copyedited articles across the full sphere of subjects pertinent to the global art world. I was lead editor on two editions of the Apollo 40 Under 40: Asia Pacific (2022) and USA (2023), and co-lead editor on another two editions: Africa (2020) and Art & Tech (2021).
